Ecoliteracy*

I believe that the face and food connection is vital to restore.  And actually I think that you will discover if you haven’t already that not only does eating locally save a ton of oil, reduce unneeded packaging, and refrigeration, give us food with higher nutritional value, because it was picked that very morning, but it also is deeply satisfying.  It reintegrates us and our children to our neighbors and our land in an age of disorienting fragmentation.

One wonderful way to restore this connection is to go to your local farmer’s market.  Here’s the link for our market in Bellingham.   www.bellinghamfarmers.org

If you live outside the Bellingham area go to www.localharvest.org to find a farmer’s market close to you.
